Суд відхилив вимогу негайно відновити повний доступ журналістам Associated Press до Білого дому

Суддя зауважив, що обмеження стосується доступу до «більш приватних зон» президента США, але визнав, що Білий дім дискримінував AP через їхню редакційну політику.

Після ухвалення рішення Білий дім опублікував  заяву, в якій зазначив, що можливість ставити питання президенту США в Овальному кабінеті й на борту Air Force One «є привілеєм, який надається журналістам, а не їхнім юридичним правом».

Представник AP заявив, що агентство «й надалі відстоюватиме право преси та громадськості вільно висловлюватися без помсти з боку уряду».
