За опитуванням КМІС з 4 по 20 вересня 2005 респондентів зі всіх регіонів України виявило, що більшість довіряє українським медіа та отримує актуальну інформацію з Telegram-каналів. 

Джерела інформації такі:

44 % отримують новини з Telegram-каналів;
43 % — з телебачення;
36 % — із YouTube;
34 % — з новинних інтернет-видань;
22 % — із Facebook;
7 % — з радіо;
3 % — з друкованих газет і журналів;
1 % — з Twitter (X);
2 % — з інших джерел;
2 % — не мають відповіді.
Люди віком 18–59 років в основному користуються інтернет-джерелами інформації, а ті, хто старше 60 років, віддають перевагу телебаченню.

Довіра до українських медіа розподілена так:

49 % вірять українським медіа;
43 % не довіряють;
8 % не можуть відповісти.
Найменше довіри до українських медіа виявлено серед мешканців сходу країни (19 %), найбільше в центральних областях, довіряють 59 % респондентів.
