Уряд схвалив постанову, яку розробив Мінкульт, що дозволяє демонтувати в Києві пам’ятники Олександру Пушкіну, Миколі Щорсу та іншим російським і радянським діячам. Про це
повідомила пресслужба міністерства.
Так, із Державного реєстру нерухомих пам’яток культурної спадщини національного значення вилучили такі пам'ятки в Києві:
- пам’ятник російському письменникові Пушкіну на проспекті Берестейському;
- пам’ятник більшовицькому ватажкові Щорсу на бульварі Тараса Шевченка;
- могилу радянського генерала Миколи Ватутіна в Маріїнському парку;
- монітор «Железняков» на вулиці Електриків;
- пам’ятник екіпажу бронепоїзда «Таращанець» у сквері між вулицями Заслонова та Ялтинською.
Також із реєстру вилучили:
- пам’ятники Пушкіну в Житомирі, Харкові та Одесі,
- монумент князеві Михайлу Воронцову в Одесі;
- пам’ятник російському полководцеві Олександру Суворову в Ізмаїлі, що на Одещині;
- пам’ятник російському адміралові Федору Ушакову в Херсоні;
- монумент «Україна — визволителям» в Ужгороді;
- меморіальний комплекс «Борцям революції» в Луганську.
