 Суд у Венесуелі оштрафував TikTok на $10 млн: соцмережа «не вжила заходів» щодо запобігання смертельним вірусним челенджам. Про це повідомляє Associated Press.

 Суддя заявив, що TikTok діяв недбало, і дав компанії 8 днів на сплату штрафу. Крім цього, зобов'язала платформу відкрити офіс у Венесуелі, який би контролював контент на предмет його відповідності місцевому законодавству.

Влада країни звинуватила TikTok у смерті трьох дітей у віці 12, 13 і 14 років після того, як вони брали участь у челенджах із соцмережі, які, за словами президента Ніколаса Мадуро, включали в себе вживання, вдихання і розповсюдження «небезпечних сумішей» хімічних речовин.
