Про це повідомляє The Washington Post.

"Рекс Тіллерсон поїде до Китаю, Японії і Південної Кореї наступного тижня, що у звичайній ситуації виглядало би як перша демонстрація головного дипломата Сполучених Штатів у дії. Замість цього, поїздка здається спробою втекти й сховатися (від ЗМІ – ред.)", - пише видання.

Тіллерсон планує відмовитись від супроводження американських медіа, уточнює газета. У цьому зв'язку The Washington Post, New York Times, Associated Press, NPR, BBC, CNN та інші підписали колективного листа до Державного департаменту США, у якому висловили "глибоку стурбованість" щодо такого рішення держсекретаря, а також прохання зустрітися для обговорення загалом роботи преси з відомством.
