Time повністю відмовиться від пейволу з 1 червня, повідомила генеральний директор Джессіка Сіблі в інтерв’ю Axios.

Компанія, якій у березні виповнилося 100 років, мала певну форму платної платформи з 2011 року.

Сіблі сказала, що цей крок є як бізнесовим, так і редакційним рішенням.

«Можливість охопити більшу аудиторію в усьому світі, молодшу і різноманітну, дуже важлива для Сема і для мене», – зазначила вона, маючи на увазі новопризначеного головного редактора Time Сема Джейкобса. Джейкобс є наймолодшим головним редактором в історії Time.

Time планує виробляти більше рекламного діджитал контенту, який буде розміщений на сайті, в мобільному додатку і в соціальних мережах.

За словами Сіблі, компанія продовжуватиме висвітлювати ті ж самі типи тем, а також зосередиться на кількох ключових напрямках, таких як клімат і сталий розвиток, охорона здоров’я і політика.
