Так, розробкою пропозицій доручено зайнятися Раді з національної безпеки. Зазначено, що в числі можливих пропозицій Вашингтона Москві - повернення двох "дипломатичних дач", що належать російському дипломатичному представництву в Нью-Йорку. Вони були закриті президентом Бараком Обамою в грудні 2016 року одночасно з розширенням антиросійського списку санкцій.

Дані пропозиції повинні бути підготовлені до зустрічі Трампа і президента РФ Володимира Путіна, яка відбудеться під час саміту "великої двадцятки" (G20). Саміт пройде в Гамбурзі 7-8 липня.

Співрозмовники видання підкреслюють, що в Раді з нацбезпеки і в Держдепартаменті США є люди, які проти того, щоб Трамп і Путін провели окрему зустріч на полях саміту G20.
