Президент США Дональд Трамп призначив ведучу Fox News Джанін Пірро тимчасовою федеральною прокуроркою округу Колумбія. Про це пише The Hollywood Reporter.

Зазначається, що Пірро нині є співведучою денного токшоу «The Five» на Fox News. Раніше вона вела власну програму «Justice with Judge Jeanine» на вихідних.

До роботи на телебаченні Пірро обіймала посади судді та окружної прокурорки в окрузі Вестчестер, штат Нью-Йорк.

«Радий повідомити, що суддя Джанін Пірро буде призначена тимчасовою прокуроркою США у Вашингтоні, округ Колумбія. Джанін має кваліфікацію і вважається однією з найкращих окружних прокурорів в історії штату Нью-Йорк. Вона — поза конкуренцією»,—  заявив Трамп.

У заяві, наданій The Hollywood Reporter, представник Fox News Media зазначив: «Джанін Пірро була чудовим доповненням до The Five протягом останніх трьох років і улюбленою ведучою на Fox News протягом 14 років, зробивши значний внесок у наш успіх».

«Ми бажаємо їй усього найкращого на новій посаді у Вашингтоні», — додали в компанії.
