Трамп подає мільярдні позови на медіа, які нібито упереджені до нього. Пише Guardian.

Адвокат Трампа Едвард Ендрю Палцік надіслав листи до New York Times і Penguin Random House, у яких вимагається 10 мільярдів доларів відшкодування збитків за статті з критикою Трампа.

У листі автори статей  звинувачені в «неправдивих і наклепницьких заявах» про Трампа. Також вказано, що New York Times є «рупором Демократичної партії», яка проводить «системний наклеп на політичних опонентів».

Цей лист є одним із  серії судових позовів проти інших медіакомпаній, які Трамп звинуватив у політичній атаці на нього.

«Репортери без кордонів» оприлюднили  заяву після перемоги Трампа, зазначивши:  "Напад на пресу є справді нападом на право американських громадян знати. Нова адміністрація Трампа повинна вжити конкретних кроків для захисту журналістів і створення клімату, сприятливого для надійних і плюралістичних медіа".
