Президент США Дональд Трамп підписав указ про створення суверенного фонду США та припустив, що його можна використати для придбання TikTok, пише TechCrunch.

Очікується, що фонд буде створений протягом наступних 12 місяців Міністерством фінансів і Міністерством торгівлі США, хоча поки неясно, як саме. Раніше Трамп заявляв, що фонд може фінансуватися коштом “тарифів та інших розумних речей”.

Минулого місяця Трамп підписав указ, який відклав заборону TikTok на 75 днів. Хоча додаток знову доступний після 12-годинного відключення, його все ще немає в магазинах Google Play та App Store.

Трамп зазначив, що веде переговори з кількома людьми, які зацікавлені в покупці соцмережі. Минулого тижня він повідомив, що Microsoft веде переговори про придбання TikTok, а раніше говорив, що відкритий до того, щоб генеральний директор Tesla Ілон Маск або голова Oracle Ларрі Еллісон купили платформу.

За словами Трампа, ймовірно, він ухвалить рішення щодо майбутнього TikTok у США в лютому.
