19 червня Грета була серед протестувальників, які заблокували дорогу для нафтових вантажівок в гавані Мальме. Її звинуватили в тому, що вона "брала участь у демонстрації, яка порушила рух транспорту" і "відмовилася підкоритися наказам поліції покинути місце події".

Тунберг не визнала себе винною і заявила, що діяла через необхідність (посилаючись на необхідність боротьби зі зміною клімату). Суд зобов'язав її сплатити штраф у розмірі близько $144.
