Для Ілона Маска купівля Twitter поки не сильно окупилась, якщо розглядати її з фінансової точки зору. Згідно аналітики Fidelity, на яку посилаються західні ЗМІ, оцінка соцмережі просіла на 2/3. 

  • Нагадаємо, Маск купив Twitter з оцінкою $44 млрд. 
  • В листопаді 2022 року команда Fidelity вже робила переоцінку бізнесу і вказувала, що Twitter коштує не більше 44% попередньо заплачено, тобто близько $20 млрд.
  • В кінці травня оцінку знову оновили — лише 33% або $15 млрд. 
  • Як пише Bloomberg, не до кінця зрозуміло, на які дані опираються в Fidelity, оголошуючи такі цифри, організація не розкриває свою методологію.

При цьому падіння оцінки не видається чимось неймовірним: сам Маск ще до угоди говорив, що Twitter коштує дешевше $44 млрд, але переглянути вартість угоди в сторону зниження йому так і не вдалось. 

Різке падіння оцінки компанії повʼязують лише з однією причиною — самим Маском. Його дії з моменту купівлі соцмережі відлякали рекламодавців та зробили саму соцмережу токсичнішою.
