Чотирьох протестувальників Greenpeace, які залізли на будинок прем'єр-міністра Великої Британії Ріші Сунака в Північному Йоркширі на знак протесту проти розширення видобутку викопного палива, арештували. Про це, як пише "Європейська правда" з посиланням на Sky News, журналістам заявила представниця поліції.

Арештовані активісти накрили будинок Сунака чорною тканиною, піднявшись на його дах вранці в четвер. Щоб туди дістатися, вони використали драбини й альпіністське спорядження.

Четверо протестувальників провели на даху особняка більше трьох годин, після чого їх вивели співробітники поліції.

Ще двоє стояли перед будинком із банером, на якому написано: "Ріші Сунак – нафтові доходи чи наше майбутнє? Greenpeace". Чи застосовуватимуться щодо них якісь санкції, поліція поки не уточнювала.

Активісти, як повідомлялось, заявляли, що протестують проти планів британського уряду збільшити буріння нафтових і газових свердловин у Північному морі. Вони сказали журналістам, що "постукали у двері", перш ніж почати акцію.

Самого британського прем’єра із сім’єю в цей час, як відомо, не було.
