У фінському місті Тампере закривається Музей Леніна. Відповідне рішення ухвалило керівництво самого музею. Про це повідомляє Yle.

 

Цей музей, заснований товариством "Фінляндія-СРСР", пропрацював у Тампере 78 років. У ньому встигли побувати всі ключові радянські лідери. Після розпаду СРСР музей Леніна перетворився на культовий об’єкт, викликаючи ностальгію у відвідувачів, будучи деякий час єдиним музеєм Леніна у світі, пише видання. 2016 року музей повністю оновили. Збереглась лише назва, експозиція ж змінила фокус і зосередилася на критичних моментах історії Радянського Союзу.

"Історія не закінчилася після розпаду СРСР, і ми не хочемо залишатися заручниками минулого. Жорстокість авторитаризму повернулася в Росію, але навряд чи це пов'язано з померлим понад сто років тому Леніним. Колишня назва більше не відповідає змісту нашої експозиції, вводить відвідувачів в оману і викликає непорозуміння", - сказав директор музею Калле Калліо.

Після 3 листопада експозицію в музеї Леніна демонтують. У лютому 2025 року на його місці відкриється новий музей східних відносин Nootti. Згідно з пресрелізом, Nootti буде краще відповідати потребам відвідувачів музею, він стане сучасним музеєм політичної історії, присвячений відносинам фінів і росіян, Радянському Союзу і сучасності. Музей розглядатиме спільну історію країн з часів революції в Росії і здобуття Фінляндією незалежності аж до епохи НАТО.
