Фінансова поліція Грузії провела обшуки ва домівках грузинських співробітниць американського аналітичного центру Atlantic Council Софо Гелава та Ето Бузіашвілі у межах розслідування «відмивання коштів». Про це повідомляє «Эхо Кавказа».

Чоловік Софо Гелава написав, що під час обшуку забрали ноутбуки всієї родини.

За словами адвокатів експерток, обшуки проходили в рамках одного розслідування. Кримінальну справу порушили за статтями про відмивання грошей, шахрайство та ухилення від сплати податків. Прізвища звинувачуваних у цій справі поки невідомі.

Atlantic Council — американський дослідницький інститут, заснований 1961 року. Обидві експертки інституту займаються дослідженням дезінформації в межах лабораторії цифрової експертизи DFR Lab.
