Вшанування пам'яті журналістки Вікторії Рощиної, яка загинула в російському полоні, відбувається на Майдані Незалежності. Близько пів сотні медійників увечері прийшли на Майдан Незалежності із портретами Вікторії

Українські медійники вимагають від міжнародних інституцій розслідувати обставини загибелі Рощиної. Тим часом у ЄС висловили обурення смертю української журналістки в російському полоні і також закликали до незалежного розслідування.

Українська журналістка Вікторія Рощина зникла безвісти у серпні минулого року на окупованій частині Запорізької області. Туди вона вирушила, щоб підготувати черговий матеріал.

У травні 2024 року російська влада вперше визнала, що журналістку затримали, і що вона на території росії. 

У вересні Росія погодилася включити Вікторію в найближчий список для обміну полоненими, але вона так і не повернулася.

Натомість батько журналістки отримав від міністерства оборони рф повідомлення про її смерть. Тепер її обіцяють повернути «в рамках обміну тілами затриманих осіб».

10 жовтня батько Вікторії Рощиної заявив, що отримав повідомлення про її смерть. 6 жовтня їй мало виповнитися 28 років
