Незадовго до початку акції поліція затримала чоловіка за підозрою в розпалюванні расової ненависті.

"Поліцейські помітили у нього плакат з нацистською символікою", – заявили в поліції.

Під час заходу поліцейські роздавали учасникам листівки, в яких роз'яснювали, що вважатиметься правопорушенням. Це сталося після того, як деякі члени уряду почали вимагати від правоохоронців жорсткіше реагувати на ймовірні прояви антисемітизму під час протестів.

"Будь-хто, хто є расистом або розпалює ненависть проти будь-якої групи, повинен очікувати арешту. Так само як і будь-хто, хто підтримує ХАМАС або будь-яку іншу заборонену організацію", – заявив заступник помічника комісара поліції Аде Аделекан.

"Ми не потерпимо нікого, хто святкує або пропагує терористичні акти – такі як вбивство або викрадення невинних людей – або поширює мову ненависті", – додав він.

Нагадаємо, минулої неділі у Парижі французькі культурні діячі очолили тисячі людей на мовчазному марші, закликаючи до миру між ізраїльтянами і палестинцями та до єдності Франції.
