У Мексиці, в штаті Герреро, застрелили журналіста Фредіда «Фреді» Романа. Про це пише Reuters. 

Як повідомляється, медійника вбили в його машині. Це вже четверте вбивство журналіста в Мексиці за останній місяць і 19-те з початку року. 

Журналіста вбили одразу після публікації колонки про нібито причетність місцевих політиків до зникнення 43 студентів у 2014 році, яке минулого тижня слідчі назвали «державним злочином». Водночас зв'язок між убивством і професійною діяльністю Фредіда Романа ще з'ясовується.

Як пише Reuters, рівень насильства проти преси в Мексиці стрімко зріс під час правління президента Андреса Мануеля Лопеса Обрадора, який обійняв посаду у 2018 році.
