За даними видання, сайти є або були вранці слабко доступні через DDoS-атаки. Це створило незручності для виборців, які хотіли отримати інформацію про кандидатів до Європарламенту та дізнатися їхні позиції.
Зокрема, тимчасово не працювали сайти «Партії свободи» й «Форуму за демократію».
Лідер партії «Форум за демократію» Тьєррі Боде заявив, що «вся команда працює понаднормово, щоб відбити атаку», та з усмішкою додав: «Росіяни?».
Як пише NOS, атаки могло вчинити проросійське хакерське угруповання Hacknet. У його телеграм-каналі з’явилося повідомлення: «Ми продовжуємо атакувати сайти Нідерландів та їхні партії».
Уточнимо, під час DDoS-атаки комп’ютерні сервери бомбардують великими обсягами трафіку даних, що призводить до того, що сервери засмічуються і більше не мають місця для нормального інтернет-трафіку.
