У Південній Кореї оприлюднили відео з прихованої камери, на якому перша леді Кім Кеон Хі нібито приймає в подарунок сумку Dior вартістю $2 200. Оскільки це могло б означати отримання незаконної винагороди, відео спричинило скандал, і тепер репутація чинного президента під загрозою. Про це повідомляє BBC.

Відео записане на приховану камеру, вбудовану в годинник чоловіка на імʼя Чой Чже Йон, який і намагався вручити першій леді сумку.

На записі Чой купує сумку Dior за 3 мільйони вон, або $2 200. Після цього чоловік навідується до компанії Covana Contents, щоналежить першій леді. На відео Кім запитує чоловіка: «Чому ви продовжуєте приносити мені ці речі?»

На записі не видно, щоб Кім Кеон Хі прийняла подарунок, проте корейські ЗМІ повідомляють, що в офісі президента підтвердили отримання сумки. Там запевнили, що вона нібито зберігається як власність уряду.
Південнокорейське законодавство забороняє державним посадовцям та їхнім партнерам приймати подарунки вартістю понад один мільйон вон.

За три місяці в Південній Кореї стартують вибори, тож цей скандал лише завдає шкоди репутації правлячої партії. Виборці вимагають пояснень від президента Юн Сок Йоля, а опозиція використовує інцидент у свою користь.
