У 19 містах Польщі проходять масові протестні акції проти нового закону про ЗМІ, який, на думку протестувальників, обмежує свободу медіа. Про це повідомляє Gazeta Wyborcza.

У Варшаві, за даними віце-прем'єра Польщі Ярослава Южвяка, у протестах беруть участь більше 20 тис. осіб.

У четвер польський президент Анджей Дуда підписав поправки до закону про ЗМІ, які, на думку польських журналістів, значно посилюють контроль над пресою в країні. Вони припускають закінчення терміну повноважень нинішніх членів правління і наглядової ради державної телекомпанії TVP та Польського радіо.

Міністр фінансів Польщі одержує право призначати новий склад керівництва "до впровадження нової організації державних ЗМІ". Крім того, глава Мінфіну зможе адаптувати статути державних ЗМІ для того, щоб вони відповідали передбачуваній поправці.

З критикою виступили не тільки польські журналісти, але і Європейський мовний союз, Європейська федерація журналістів і організація "Репортери без кордонів".

Раніше повідомлялося, що глави польських громадських телеканалів звільнилися, протестуючи проти поправок до закону про ЗМІ.
