Підвищення утилізаційного збору і закриття каналів ввезення до рф за низькими ставками через країни Євразійського економічного союзу призвели до того, що з Китаю почали ввозити все: і старі машини, і нові автомобілі брендів, що пішли з росії, вироблені в Китаї.

За підсумками жовтня в росію було імпортовано рекордну кількість іномарок - 150 600 автомобілів.

Китай до статусу найбільшого імпортера нових автомобілів додав третє місце з постачання автомобілів з пробігом і швидко збільшує свою частку в цьому сегменті. 

У жовтні на нього припадало вже майже 93% ввезення нових іномарок (раніше його частка не перевищувала 90%), а також 10% ввезених автомобілів із пробігом. 

За цим показником він поступається лише Японії, звідки в жовтні ввезли 60% старих машин і Південній Кореї (17%). Японія та Корея підтримують санкції та обмежують ввезення потужних (більше 2 л) та дорогих (від $50 000) автомобілів, а в Китаї таких обмежень немає.

Через Китай тепер везуть не тільки китайські бренди, а й Toyota, і BMW, вироблені на китайських заводах. 

Саме завдяки імпорту з Китаю японська Toyota минулого місяця повернулася в топ-10 нових легкових автомобілів, що продаються в росії. За підсумками жовтня вона посідає 9-те місце з продажем 3515 штук.
