Профспілка Samsung Electronics анонсувала перший в історії південнокорейського технологічного гіганта страйк. Близько 20% працівників компанії використають щорічну відпустку, щоб страйкувати впродовж 7 червня, повідомила «Німецька хвиля».

«Це може призвести до загального страйку», — сказав речник профспілки, яка представляє десятки тисяч співробітників корпорації.

Керівництво компанії з січня веде переговори з профспілкою щодо заробітної плати, але сторони досі не досягли згоди.

Голова профспілки Сон Ву-мок заявив, що профспілка прийняла підвищення зарплати, запропоноване компанією, але просить надати одну додаткову відпустку, а також «прозору систему для вимірювання премії за продуктивність на основі прибутку від продажів».

«Компанія нас не чує, і вони не спілкуються з нами з часу останньої сесії переговорів», —додав він.

Представник компанії повідомив у коментарі агентству AFP, що «Samsung продовжуватиме діалог із профспілкою, як і раніше».

Як відомо, Samsung Electronics є одним із найбільших у світі виробників смартфонів, а також однією з небагатьох компаній у світі, яка виробляє високотехнологічні мікросхеми пам’яті, що використовуються для генеративного штучного інтелекту.
