Американські сиророби та пивовари зі штату Орегон об’єдналися, аби створити пиво із сиром із “блакитною” пліснявою. Кажуть, ідею важко було “продати” навіть своїм працівникам. А вийшов доволі непоганий ель.  Про це розповідає UPI. 

Сироварня Rogue Creamery aта пивоварня Crux Fermentation Project об’єдналися для того, щоб створити ель у стилі ламбік. Зварили його із сиром Rogue River Blue Cheese. Напій витримували у дубових бочках майже 2 роки. Назвали його Coolship Beer No. 6.

Сироварка Маргеріт Меррітт каже, що їх підштовхувала здорова доза скептицизму – як серед знайомих, так і власного. 

Вони спочатку зварили пиво, потім перевезли його у сироварню, так воно ніч настоювалося на сирy, а потім напій розлили у бочки. 

“Коли я розповів про ідею своїм працівникам, вони сказали – ніколи, таке ніколи не вийде”, – пригадує власник пивоварні Ларі Сідор. 

Співавтори кажуть, що Coolship Beer No. 6 вийшло доволі смачним пивом.

“Він має тони і відтінки смаку, але він не надто сирний, не надто сильний. Це справді чудовий збалансований продукт”, – каже Меррітт.
