Чоловікам загрожує позбавлення волі на термін від двох до семи років.
Чіонг Ху Сан працював у кількох впливових газетах В’єтнаму. Журналіста звільнили після того, як його блог став одним із найпопулярніших в авторитарному В'єтнамі. Він критикував державний контроль над ЗМІ, відносини з Китаєм та корупцію.
Чан Дінь Трієн є колишнім заступником директора Асоціації адвокатів Ханоя і брав участь у багатьох резонансних судових справах. Його арешт пов'язують з коментарем про уряд, який він опублікував у на своїй сторінці у фейсбуці.
