1–2 липня у Національній спілці письменників України відбувся Міжнародний українсько-білоруський семінар з проблем розвитку сучасної літератури. Участь взяли провідні українські та білоруські літературознавці, молоді науковці, критики, прозаїки, драматурги та поети, повідомляє прес-служба НСПУ.

У рамках семінару 1 липня розглядалася поезія України і Білорусі, 2 липня – проза і драматургія. 

За результатами семінару сторони вирішили 26 січня вручати щорічну літературну премію «Воїн Світла» пам’яті Героя Небесної Сотні білоруса Михайла Жизневського (26.01.1988 р. н.). Ця відзнака присуджуватиметься за книжку українського або білоруського автора, у якій діє благородний, сміливий герой, що бореться за справедливість, проповідуючи загальнолюдські цінності, і є взірцем для наслідування.
