При цьому соцмережам буде заборонено вимагати документи. Вік визначатимуть за допомогою технологій, на вивчення яких уже укладений контракт із британською компанією Age Check Certification Scheme.

На фоні цього Франція прагне на рівні ЄС встановити мінімальний вік для доступу до соцмереж до 15 років. Уряд Франції закликав Польщу, яка головуватиме в Раді ЄС у січні 2025 року напрацювати відповідне рішення.
