В ночь на 15 марта в Москве задержали гражданина Беларуси Юрия Баранчика, который является шеф-редактором пропагандистского информагентства Регнум, пишет Апостроф

В самом издании считают, что их начальник был задержан по запросу властей Беларуси и назвали это "политическим преследованием по надуманным обвинениям в "разжигании межнациональной розни". В агентстве также заявили, что к Баранчику не пускают адвоката.

В то же время представитель Следственного комитета Беларуси Юлия Гончаров сообщила, что Баранчик был задержан в рамках спецоперации "Розыск" и на данный момент рассматривается вопрос о его экстрадиции. Следствие считает журналиста причастным к противоправной деятельности по делу пророссийских колумнистов.

В начале декабря Следственный комитет Беларуси задержал трех журналистов российских изданий Регнум, Lenta.ru и EADaily. Их обвинили в том, что они писали заказные статьи для Регнума и получали за это деньги от Баранчика, который придерживается пророссийской позиции.
