В ночь с 17 на 18 августа в Париже выключили огни на Эйфелевой башне в память о жертвах теракта в Барселоне (Испания).

Как сообщает Новое время со ссилкой на  AFP, огни отключили на час.

Напомним, 17 августа неизвестный протаранил толпу на популярной среди туристов улице Рамбла в центре Барселоны. Согласно обновленным данным, в результате наезда 13 человек погибли, сто получили ранения. Полиция квалифицировала наезд как теракт.

В рамках спецоперации полиция задержала двух подозреваемых. Их личности не раскрываются.

Террористическая группировка Исламское государство взяла на себя ответственность за теракт в Барселоне.Позже, сотрудники правоохранительных органов Испании сообщили о проведении спецоперации в связи с предполагаемой новой террористической атакой в прибрежном каталонском городе Камбрильс, расположенном к юго-востоку от Барселоны. В результате операции полиция ликвидировала четырех предполагаемых террористов и еще одного ранила. Также известно о семи раненых среди мирного населения, среди которых один полицейский.
