Книгу о Марсе впервые написали с применением украинского языка. Об этом сообщил один из авторов украинского раздела проекта Евгений Белаш на своей странице в Facebook.

"Альманах марсианской поверхности, созданный проектом HIRISE университета Аризоны.

Основой проекта является камера на Марсианской орбите. Эта камера имеет самое высокое разрешение из когда-либо отправленных в космос, и это самый мощный телескоп за пределами земной орбиты. Камера работает с 2006. Каждый снимок имеет размер 16.7 Гб.

Все полученные снимки анализируются учеными, они помогают узнать строение и историю Марса, изучать области будущих миссий и содействуют работе марсианских роботов", - написал он.

Он отметил, что проект является многоязычным.

"Благодаря группе волонтеров из Украины, в проекте существует и украиноязычный раздел", - подчеркнул Белаш.

Также украинский язык вошел и в альманах, что "сделало его первой изданной в США книгой, в которой используется украинский язык".
