Український національний офіс інтелектуальної власності вперше видав перші свідоцтва про реєстрацію авторського права на твори, до яких включені зображення, що були створені за допомогою ШІ.
Свідоцтво видали збірці зображень «Великодні листівки», де використали зображення, згенеровані комп’ютерною програмою. Упорядницею збірки є Маргарита Бойко.
Окрім цього, свідоцтва видали на дитячу книгу Анни Хорольської «Зачарована пригода Руфуса» та збірку віршів Андрія Сітнікова «Вірші незакінченої війни», які проілюстровані ШІ-зображеннями.
Законодавство України надає авторсько-правову охорону тільки тим зображенням, що створила людина, проте закон «Про авторське право і суміжні права» дає можливість визначити права sui generis (унікальності витвору) на такі зображення.
