Як повідомляє УНІАН з посиланням на видання The Telegraph, кошти будуть спрямовані до спеціального фонду фінансової допомоги Україні. Найближчим часом схвалення на проведення транзакції має послідувати від ЄС.
Чиста виручка з продажу ФК "Челсі" становить 2,3 млрд фунтів стерлінгів.
Повідомляється, що гроші надійдуть на рахунок фонду, який очолює колишній виконавчий директор UNICEF у Великої Британії Майк Пенроуз. З фонду кошти підуть на відновлення освітніх закладів, допомогу медичного характеру та інші сфери. Всі кошти будуть розподілятися під контролем ЄС.
Сума в 2,3 млрд фунтів стане одним з найбільших благодійних пожертвувань жертвам війни в історії.
