Обмін гострими словами почався після того, як Верещук звинуватила Омеляна в тому, що в той час, коли він очолював міністерство, Укравтодор став корупційною структурою.
 
Омелян: Я абсолютно не дивуюся Ірині Верещук, її здібності всім відомі.
 
Верещук: Дякую, ви переходите на персоналії. Ви мене сюди прийшли оцінювати, давати оцінку моїм здібностям?
 
Омелян: Я вам просто хочу повідомити ...
