Rakuten Viber відкриває для українців попередню реєстрацію в новому сервісі — Viber Dating, який допоможе українцям знайомитися в онлайні з реальними людьми: всі профілі у дейтингу привʼязані до профілів у Viber, а отже, і номерів телефонів. З метою збереження приватності номери телефонів у Viber Dating будуть приховані.
У лютому Viber провів опитування, щоб дізнатись, з якими проблемами стикались українки та українці в застосунках для знайомств. Результати показали, що майже половина респондентів і респонденток (45%) вважає ключовою проблемою неправдиву інформацію у профілях, а чверть опитаних (26%) вважають такою проблемою шахрайства.
Щоб долучитись до листу очікування, потрібно заповнити профіль. Для цього треба перейти до меню «Додатково» 
=> «Viber Dating Бета-версія» => натиснути на пункт меню та обрати «Приєднатись до списку очікування».
Долучитися до листа очікування можна за посиланням. Лист очікування поступово стане доступним усім українцям протягом доби.
