Внаслідок нічної атаки російських дронів на Одесу 17 січня пошкоджень зазнала квартира одеського журналіста Назара Мельникова. Про це він повідомив у фейсбуці

У коментарі представнику ІМІ Назар розповів, що вибухова хвиля зруйнувала стелю в кімнаті, відірвала кондиціонер та зірвала зі стіни шматки штукатурки зі шпалерами. 

За словами Мельникова, під час атаки він не був удома, а «якби й був, то стеля точно впала б мені на голову, і на одного потерпілого було б більше».

«Мій будинок — це колишні Каховські казарми, побудовані ще у 18-му столітті. Ще й до ударів стан будинку залишав бажати кращого, а після цього удару став ще гіршим. Постраждали здебільшого квартири, які розташовані навпроти епіцентру удару. У всіх вибиті вікна, а в деяких і злетіли двері з петель», — розповів журналіст.

Назар Мельников раніше був власним кореспондентом програми «Факти ICTV» в Одесі та журналістом місцевого 7 телеканалу.

У ніч на 17 січня Повітряні сили ЗСУ збили 19 із 20 «шахедів», запущених росіянами по Україні. Речниця Об'єднаного координаційного пресцентру Сил оборони півдня Наталія Гуменюк повідомила, що сили ППО збили всі дрони, які летіли на Одесу. За її словами, підбитий «шахед» продовжив рух за інерцією і зрештою влучив у житловий будинок.
