Дзвінки з невідомих номерів будуть автоматично вимикатися, але вони відображатимуться в сповіщеннях і списку викликів застосунку. На випадок, якщо згодом користувач захоче перевірити, хто телефонував.
У WhatsApp зʼявляться канали, повідомлення від яких публікуватимуться у новій вкладці з назвою «Оновлення». WhatsApp розраховує, що створювати канали будуть переважно неурядові організації, медичні дослідницькі установи та організації з перевірки фактів, а користувачі приєднуватимуться до них за посиланням із запрошенням.
