WhatsApp переміг у справі 5-річної давності про незаконне стеження через програму Pegasus. Про це повідомляє The Washington Post.

 Федеральний суддя в Каліфорнії постановив, що ізраїльська компанія NSO Group зламала системи Meta, відправивши шкідливе програмне забезпечення через свої сервери на понад тисячу телефонів.

Суд постановив, що NSO Group порушила чинне у США законодавство про комп'ютерне шахрайство та зловживання за допомогою згубної шпигунської програми, відомої як Pegasus, а також затягувала судовий процес. На початку року суддя зобов’язала ізраїльську компанію надати WhatsApp вихідний код свого шпигунського програмного забезпечення, однак NSO Group проігнорувала це, що і стало основною причиною задоволення позову WhatsApp.
