YouTube заблокував державний телеканал Північної Кореї, який аби уникнути порушення санкцій, які запровадили США.
 

Канал був заблокований не через його контент, а тому, що КНДР могла отримувати гроші від трансляції на каналі, пише Media Sapiens
. На каналі транслювалися здебільшого вечірні новини та пропагандистські програми.

«Цей обліковий запис заблоковано через порушення правил спільноти YouTube», - таке повідомлення тепер розміщено на сторінці каналу в YouTube.

Правила спільноти YouTube забороняють відео, які містять сцени насильства, сексуального або будь-якого шкідливого характеру, порушують авторські права.  Google, материнська компанія YouTube, також просить користувачів позначати контент, який може порушувати правила.

Google заблокувала канал аби уникнути порушення санкційного режиму щодо Північної Кореї, але компанія відмовилася від коментарів.

Рішення YouTube розчарувало аналітиків, які використовували канал для збору хоч якоїсь інформації про Північну Корею. «Канал транслював щоденні новини та телешоу, які режим хотів транслювати на всю країну. Це допомагало зрозуміти загальний контекст», - прокоментував Девід Шмелер (said David Schmerler), дослідник в Центрі Джеймса Мартіна.  

Нагадаємо, Північна Корея оголосила про запуск сервісу відео за запитом на кшталт американського Netflix. З його допомогою користувачі можуть вивчати російську і англійську мови і дивитися документальні фільми про династію Кім.

Також нещодавно уряд Північної Кореї заборонив своїм громадянам використовувати сарказм у повсякденних розмовах в межах чергової кампанії з придушення критики.
