 Починаючи з 31 березня, YouTube змінює систему підрахунку переглядів у Shorts. Відтепер перегляд буде зараховано одразу після запуску відео, навіть якщо користувач миттєво проскролить далі. Такий підхід уже використовують TikTok та Instagram.

Ця зміна має на меті зрівняти умови для творців контенту на різних платформах. YouTube заявляє, що новий підрахунок дозволить краще розуміти охоплення контенту, зокрема для тих, хто публікує відео одночасно на кількох майданчиках.

 Компанія прогнозує, що кількість переглядів може зрости після впровадження нового методу. Це потенційно може позитивно вплинути на сприйняття активності каналу з боку партнерів, брендів і рекламодавців.

 Водночас, YouTube не відмовляється від старого методу підрахунку — "engaged views". Цей показник й надалі використовуватиметься для розрахунку доходів творців та визначення їхньої участі в Партнерській програмі.

 Це означає, що хоча загальні перегляди зростатимуть, реальні взаємодії — ті, що справді впливають на монетизацію — залишатимуться окремим показником. Такий розподіл допоможе точніше аналізувати ефективність контенту.
