YouTube оновлює спосіб підрахунку переглядів у Shorts, щоб творці контенту краще розуміли, як працюють їхні короткі відео. Про це повідомляє TechCrunch. 

Раніше перегляд ролика зараховувався лише після певної кількості секунд. Тепер ютуб враховуватиме кожен раз, коли відео починає відтворюватися або повторюється — так загальна кількість переглядів зросте.

Компанія стверджує, що автори контенту хочуть знати, наскільки часто переглядають їхні відео. Завдяки оновленню вони зможуть краще демонструвати свої охоплення та презентувати контент брендам.

Загалом YouTube Shorts тепер рахуватиме перегляди так само, як TikTok та Instagram Reels. Водночас творці, які все ще зацікавлені в оригінальних показниках Shorts, можуть переглянути їх, перейшовши в «Розширений режим» у «YouTube Аналітиці». Показник, який тепер називається «залучені перегляди», і надалі дозволятиме авторам бачити, скільки людей дивляться їхні відео більше, ніж кілька секунд.

Оновлення зі зміни підрахунку переглядів запустять з 31 березня. Компанія зазначає, що воно не вплине на доходи авторів контенту і їхню участь у партнерській програмі.
