Проте, за відгуками користувачів, тепер навіть після пошуку на платформі вона не відображає рекомендації та продовжує стимулювати перегляд більше відео. Рекомендаційні відео не з'являються й після очищення історії перегляду та вимкнення цієї функції.

Користувачі в соціальних мережах висловлюють припущення, що ютуб у такий спосіб намагається підштовхнути користувачів активовувати функцію відстеження історії перегляду.
