Колишній головнокомандувач Збройних сил України, а нині посол у Великій Британії Валерій Залужний опублікував книгу «Моя війна» — першу в трилогії.

За словами Залужного, він почав працювати над книгою ще в березні 2023 року, коли був на посаді головнокомандувача. Рукопис редагувала його дружина. Він каже, що написав книгу для молоді та хоче в ній «донести важливу істину: у житті можливо все, якщо ти дуже цього хочеш».

«Це книга про мою війну. По-перше, війну з власними страхами, які не дають щось робити. По-друге, війну з людьми, які перешкоджають досягати мети. І нарешті — війну з обставинами, які стають перепонами у житті», — сказав Залужний.

У мемуарах йдеться про події від дитинства ексголовкома до 24 лютого 2022. Однак кілька розділів присвячені вже повномасштабній війні РФ проти України.

Дві наступні книги в трилогії матимуть назви «Наша війна» та «Їхня війна». Зараз Валерій Залужний працює над другою — «Нашою війною».

На запитання «Бабеля», чи не є книга стартом політичної карʼєри колишнього головкома, джерела з його оточення сказали, що в політику Залужний не збирається. І попри пропозиції приєднатися до політичних проєктів чи започаткувати власний, в осяжному майбутньому він планує зосередитися на роботі послом України у Великій Британії.
