Пельчара викрив репортер з конкуруючої газети Powell Tribune Сі Джей Бейкер. У своїй статті Бейкер повідомив, що семеро людей повідомили про їхні цитати в історіях, написаних Пельчаром, хоча вони не розмовляли з ним. Пельчар некоректно цитував навіть губернатора.

 Cody Enterprise переглянула усі статті, журналіста за два місяці і виявила сім історій, які включали згенеровані ШІ цитати шести людей.

Журналісти руйнували свою кар’єру, вигадуючи цитати або факти в історіях задовго до появи ШІ. Але цей скандал ілюструє потенційні підводні камені та небезпеки, які становить штучний інтелект для журналістики, пише AP
