 Ряд міжнародних медійних організацій закликали парламентарів Словаччини відхилити запропонований законопроект про суспільне мовлення. 

Попри поправки до законопроекту, нова структура призведе до політизації мовника, що є порушенням Європейського акту про свободу медіа. 

Про це повідомляє Міжнародний інститут преси. 

 Крім того, якщо законопроєкт про суспільне мовлення ухвалять, правляча коаліція усуне нинішнього генерального директора та наглядову раду до закінчення їх законних повноважень.

Підписанти заяви вважають, що новий закон дасть правлячій більшості контроль над керівництвом мовника, що призвело б до політизації нових суспільних теле- та радіоканалів.

Правляча коаліція раніше звинувачувала суспільні медіа та їхніх журналістів в упередженості та не приховувала свого бажання встановити контроль над ними за допомогою цієї «реформи».
