У разі перемоги на виборах Хілларі Клінтон може запропонувати посаду держсекретаря Джо Байдену, який зараз займає пост віце-президента.

Про це пише Politico з посиланням на джерело, пише Українська правда

За його словами, 73-річний Байден перебуває у верхній частині списку претендентів на цю посаду, складеного командою Клінтон.

Джерело зазначає, що штаб Клінтон зараз працює над тим, як переконати Байдена зайняти пост держсекретаря.

Клінтон і Байден балотувалися на пост президента США в 2008 році, але обидва тоді програли Бараку Обамі. Також Байден думав над тим, щоб балотуватися і в цьому році.

Видання пише, що штаб Клінтон не прокоментував цю інформацію, незважаючи на неодноразові прохання.
