Як повідомив кор. "Новини-Грузія" з Батумі, за попередньою версією, причиною пожежі стало коротке замикання в системі новорічної ілюмінації, встановленої на штучній ялинці,пише УНІАН

Після ліквідації загоряння, співробітники батумської мерії в оперативному режимі приступили до відновлення пошкоджених вогнем ділянок ялинки.

На площі Аргонавтів у Батумі в цьому році повинні пройти основні святкові заходи міста. Тут встановлені намети, які торгують новорічними сувенірами, прикрасами і солодощами для дітей, атракціони і сцена для новорічного концерту.

Вдень у четвер на площі Аргонавтів активними темпами йшли роботи по установці святкової ілюмінації та оздоблення прилеглих будинків, і ремонту пішохідного покриття перед Новим роком.
