Филадельфийская пивоварня выпустила пиво, на этикетке которого изображен папа римский Франциск.

Выпуск пива приурочен к визиту понтифика в США. При этом речь пока идет только об ограниченной партии, выпускать напиток на постоянной основе компания Philadelphia Brewing Company не планирует, передает ВВС

Название пива - Holy Wooder – созвучно одновременно со святой водой (holy water) и Голливудом. Крепость пива составляет 9,75 градусов. Пивоварня утверждает, что напиток гарантированно очистит душу пьющего и наставит его на путь истинный.

На этикетке изображен сам Франциск с бокалом пива. При этом крест на его шее художники заменили на ярко-красный логотип компании. Всего изготовлено около 60 бочек такого пива.

В компании отметили, что вскоре после презентации нового напитка заказ на него поступил в семинарию Святого Карла, в которой понтифик остановился во время визита в США.

В самой семинарии подтвердили, что разместили такой заказ и уже получили напиток, однако затруднились ответить на вопрос, будет ли сам папа римский пробовать посвященное его визиту пиво.

Папа римский Франциск прибыл с визитом в США впервые. Он встретился с президентом Бараком Обамой и отслужил в центре Вашингтона мессу, на которую собрались около 25 тысяч человек. В четверг понтифик выступил в Конгрессе.
