Італійське видання журналу Vogue вперше в своїй історії присвятило число жінкам старшим 60 років.

Жовтневий випуск журналу, який виходить сьогодні, редакція назвала «Номер поза часом».

Для трьох обкладинок Vogue Italia фотограф Стівен Кляйн (Steven Klein) зняв американську актрису та супермодель Лорен Хаттон (Lauren Hutton), якій наразі 73 роки та 11 місяців. Вона стала найстаршою жінкою, яка за всі часи з'являлася на обкладинках Vogue. До цього рекордсменкою була співачка Тіна Тернер (Tina Turner). У 2003 році вона знялася для німецького Vogue у віці 73 з половиною років.

«Питання, яке ми ставимо: "Чи настав час жінки у віці в моді?". Відповідь - так. Чимало подіумних шоу і рекламних кампаній вже це підтверджують. Те ж питання можна поставити й щодо мілленіалов чи бебі-бумерів, які старіють красиво і вміють прекрасно вдягатися. Чи врятують вони моду? Ми вважаємо, що справа в загальному розмаїтті. Воно пов'язане зі статтю, національністю, релігією і віком - ніхто не повинен відчувати себе виключеним зі спільноти », - каже головний редактор Vogue Italia Емануель Фарнеті (Emanuele Farneti).

За свою кар'єру актриса Лорен Хаттон 27 разів з'являлася на обкладинці американського Vogue і 13 разів у виданнях журналу в інших країнах.

«Ця обкладинка дозволила мені почуватися потрібною. Завдяки сміливості Vogue Italia це стало реальністю. Обкладинка може змінити наше суспільство, бо  показує енергійну, чарівну жінку, яка ще вміє сміятися, і це вперше жінка мого віку», - прокоментувала вона.

Фотограф Стівен Кляйн зазначив, що був у захваті від ідеї зняти обкладинку «Номера поза часом», бо він дозволить продемонструвати новий погляд на те, як жінка може виглядати в віці понад 70 років. 

«Важливо, щоб обкладинка була більше ніж просто фотографією, вона має відображати час, у якому ми живемо, кидати виклик та надихати», - додав він.

Фотограф також розповів, що Лорен Хаттон знялася для обкладинок без макіяжу.

Як зазначає WWD, цим випуском Vogue Italia підтвердив редакційну політику Емануеля Фарнеті, який прагне звертати увагу на соціальні проблеми.
