Народний депутат України, представник президента у Верховній Раді Юрій Мірошниченко зареєстрував проект закону, в якому пропонується ввести інститут священнослужителів (капеланів) у військових та правоохоронних органах,повідомляє ТСН

Капелани здійснюватимуть пастирську опіку на добровільних засадах.

У пояснювальній записці до законопроекту Мірошниченко зазначає , що міжнародний досвід свідчить про позитивні наслідки функціонування інституту військових капеланів, який введено навіть у тих країнах, які задекларували світський характер державної влади та принцип взаємного відділення державних і церковних структур.

 "У Європі військове капеланство зокрема існує в збройних силах Бельгії, Словенії, Угорщини, Італії, Польщі, Хорватії, Латвії, Чехії. Росія приступила до створення у своїх збройних силах інституту військового духовенства на початку 2010 року.

В Україні, на відміну від більшості розвинених держав, на рівні законодавчих актів інституту капеланства досі немає.

Це питання набуває особливої гостроти при вирішенні миротворчих завдань або веденні бойових дій", - зазначає автор законопроекту. Крім цього нардеп вважає , що присутність капеланів сприятиме профілактиці правопорушень, суїцидів і конфліктних ситуацій в складних умовах проходження військової служби..
