Один із засновників "Демократичної сокири" та колишній президент Грузії й голова виконавчого комітету Національної ради реформ Міхеіл Саакашвілі посварилися в прямому етері.
Це сталося в етері шоу “Народ проти” на телеканалі “Україна 24”.
Так, під час шоу Гудименко порушив питання щодо заробітків Саакашвілі. Зокрема, він зазначив, що три роки тому політик востаннє подавав декларацію і тоді задекларував 60 тисяч доларів. Водночас в Україні він не має навіть житла. Саакашвілі відреагував на репліки про це в такий спосіб:
“Слухай, хлопче. Я за одну лекцію заробляю більше, ніж ти за все своє життя. Ти що за своє життя зробив? Ти це саме з таблоїдів… Ви зі мною так не розмовляйте. Ви зі мною так не розмовляйте. А тому… Тому що такі люди як ви і погубили цю країну. зловтіхою й ідіотизмом. Займайтеся своєю країною“.
Нагадаємо, Саакашвілі був президентом Грузії у 2004-2007 та 2008-2013 роках. Потім розпочав політичну кар’єру в Україні, зокрема, обіймав посаду голови Одеської ОДА. Однак у 2017 був позбавлений громадянства і певний час мешкав у Нідерландах. 28 травня 2019 року президент Володимир Зеленський порушуючи закон “Про громадянство” і Конституцію скасував указ про позбавлення Саакашвілі громадянства.
7 травня минулого року президент України Володимир Зеленський своїм указом призначив експрезидента Грузії Міхеїла Саакашвілі на посаду глави Виконавчого комітету реформ.
Через це Грузія вирішила відкликати свого надзвичайного і повноважного посла в Україні Теймураза Шарашенідзе для консультацій. Він повернувся лише у квітні 2021 року.
27 серпня 2020 року Міхеїл Саакашвілі заявив, що повертається на батьківщину. Міністерка юстиції Грузії Теа Цулукіані відреагувала на плани Саакашвілі повернутися на батьківщину, заявивши, що на кордоні на нього чекає процедура затримання.
